About Zina Hampton
Zina Hampton of Irmo, South Carolina, draws on over two decades of experience in organizational leadership and change management as an adjunct faculty member of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). She served as a department area chair for the University of Phoenix' s business school, providing oversight and consultation to instructional staff on classroom strategy, policies, and procedures. An associate faculty member for both universities, Zina Hampton teaches undergraduate courses on topics such as business foundations, human capital management, global sourcing and procurement, and management theory and practice. In addition to this role, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at Southern Wesleyan University.
Until 2022, Ms. Hampton simultaneously worked for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as the Chief HR Officer. She oversaw human resources functions and orchestrated strategic planning efforts. Her accomplishments included navigating the agency through a paradigm shift in its organizational culture, as well as facilitating agency growth and innovation via procedural and policy changes. She also belonged to the department’s executive leadership team.
A Certified Advanced Facilitator, Zina Hampton has a graduate degree in business management from Southern Wesleyan University. She also has a master of business administration from Strayer University, where she earned a post-graduate certificate in human resources management.
